After an intensive and constructive exchange with the Building Control Authority and the Monument Preservation Authority, it was possible to file the building application in mid-May 2021.

The work on the foundation pit for the new basement annex will probably start in September 2021.

Once the building permit has been issued, the other planned refurbishment measures will be implemented.

After the completed project THE SHIP in Cologne Ehrenfeld, Evolutiq GmbH is planning a prestigious new build @vorumcologne.

The digitalized office property will have a total gross floor area of 20,000 m² (above ground) on five storeys plus two underground car park levels, and will be a human-centric building offering space for more than 800 workplaces.

In addition to achieving an innovative mix of smart digitalization, mobility, health and catering solutions, the building is expected to earn a Gold certification from the German Sustainable Building Council DGNB after its completion in 2024.

Project update “Airport City”, Düsseldorf:

At Düsseldorf airport, a joint venture of bema-Gruppe and ABG Real Estate Group is developing the SMART OFFICE business property (approx. 16,300 m² gross floor space).

The new H-shaped office building comprises two structures connected by glazed bridges and will be completed in mid-2021.

The building has a WiredScore Gold certification and already earned a pre-certificate in Gold from the German Sustainable Building Council DGNB for the sustainable planning/design and execution.

Project update “The Cradle”, Düsseldorf:

In December 2020, the hybrid timber construction of the “The Cradle” office building won a special award as the best BIM project in the Heinze Architektur Award 2020. The special feature of the project is the establishment of a link between the BIM model and the digital material passport. So already now, the foundation is laid for the creation of a digital material database for the building.

The new build is being developed following the Cradle-to-Cradle© principle and will for the most part be constructed with recyclable, non-toxic building elements and minimize the CO2 emissions compared with conventional construction methods.

The building construction work started on schedule in December 2020. Completion is expected for the second half of 2022.
